Best Cars of SEMA 2012

It’s that time of the year again, when thousands of tuners and car modifying experts descend upon Las Vegas with their exotic creations. Check the gallery for some of the weird and wacky cars that made an appearance at SEMA 2012.

SEMA is an acronym for Specialty Equipment Market Association and the SEMA Show is an annual event where cars are literally customised and modified to the very limit. It would be quite funny to see the faces of the original designers when they see what has been done to their creations. Anything goes and you’ll see cars that have been modified to perform better, sound better as well as looking outrageous. Don’t forget the mandatory huge wheels and massive wings. This year it looked like matte paint is still being a major drawcard with a big return to Fast and the Furious JDM-style bodykits. I approve! The number of tuned up Toyota 86s is also impressive.

You can’t just walk into SEMA either, it’s regarded as a trade event so members of the public don’t have access. Its on my bucket list…
